$300k for transit innovation

Congratulations to the Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority for their successful application of a $300,000 competitive COVID-19 Research Demonstration Program grant. Grants funds will go towards supporting developing, deploying, and demonstrating innovative solutions that improve the operational efficiency of public transit agencies as well as enhance the mobility of transit users affected by the COVID-19 public health emergency. COTA plans to hire a consultant to examine current bus services, resources, and data and recommend how to improve management practices while operating during a global pandemic. COTA will adopt innovative solutions that will improve access and mobility and support the re-opening of the economy.
