Helping mothers and older workers

The Education and Labor Committee held a markup on Wednesday, advancing two bills that strengthen workplace protections for nursing mothers and older workers. The bipartisan H.R. 3110 would guarantee nursing mothers the accommodations necessary to pump at work so that they may continue to keep themselves and their newborns healthy. H.R. 2062 provides older workers protections against age discrimination in the work place. Nursing mothers and older workers should be allowed to work without fear of discrimination - these two bills help ensure that they can.
