9/11 and the Northern Mariana Islands

Sep 9, 2010

Fourteen young men and women from the Northern Mariana Islands have now lost their lives, while in military service following the attacks of 9/11.

We will never know what contributions these young people might have made to our community had their lives continued. The families they have left behind will never again have the benefit of their love and support.

I ask you all to join me in taking a moment on Saturday, September 11, to pause in remembrance of those fourteen, whose lives ended much too soon, while serving our Nation. They are:

  •    Army SGT Yihgyh “Eddie” L. Chen (April 4, 2004)
