Close Up Students Visit Kilili

14 Close-Up students from the Northern Mariana Islands visited their Congressman, Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan, in Washington on February 25, 2009, and had lunch at his office on Capitol Hill. Following a question and answer session with the NMI Delegate, the students toured the Capitol with Kilili’s staff. That same afternoon the students sat in on the House Subcommittee on Insular Affairs, Oceans and Wildlife hearing on H.R. 934. The bill gives control of submerged lands to the Northern Marianas and is the first ever introduced by a Northern Marianas representative in the Congress.
